Hail, brave guardians of Midgard and wardens of the electricity that tames even Thor’s own lightning. Draw near and heed the provisions of the great Battery Act, composed by the wise skalds of our age, to honour and protect the magical cells that grant us power.
Just as the noble Einherjar return to Valhalla after battle, so too must exhausted batteries return to a place of honour. Bring them to the shrines (collection points) scattered across the land, so they do not wander Midgard like forgotten spirits and bring ruin in their wake.
You who draw upon the power of the cells are bound to return them once their life is spent. Not into the wild seas, as Skadi might, but into the collection boxes provided for that purpose. For any cell not honourably sent on its way could poison our fair Midgard earth.
By Odin’s beard — never throw batteries into the general waste! Just as one would not wield Mjölnir for base tasks, so too shall you not mingle batteries with the remnants of your daily meals.
We, the sellers in the digital and stone halls of Valhalla, take back the spent power-givers without requiring you to purchase new ones. We tend to the onward journey of the old warriors, so they may be reborn in the smelting furnaces.
Heed the signs! Batteries bear symbols that proclaim the necessity of their return to the cycles of nature — the crossed-out wheeled bin. Observe these warnings as you would the prophecies of seers.
In some cells lie hidden hazardous substances, as treacherous as the giants of Jotunheim. They bear names such as cadmium, lead, and mercury. We pledge to tame these substances and ensure they do no harm across the Nine Worlds.
Help us protect the realms! Be wise and honour the elements that lend you energy. Return them to the cycle, that they may be renewed and reused without harm to the world-tree Yggdrasil.

In connection with the distribution of batteries and rechargeable cells, we are obliged as a commercial trader to draw your attention to the following.
As an end user, you are legally required to return used batteries and rechargeable cells. You may return them to us free of charge after use, or at the designated take-back points — for example municipal collection points or retail outlets.
We Cover Shipping Costs
You can also return batteries and rechargeable cells in person at our shipping warehouse, or send them to us by post. We will reimburse you for the standard shipping costs.
Batteries and rechargeable cells are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. This symbol indicates that batteries and rechargeable cells must not be disposed of with household waste.
For batteries that exceed certain thresholds of hazardous substances, the chemical name of the respective substance appears below the bin symbol:
