Coil Pairing Matrix & Draw Experience

The XROS 5 uses the full Vaporesso XROS pod ecosystem. The 0.4Ω pod (recommended 22–26W) is suited to light RDL and thicker 50/50 e-liquids with a moderate VG content. The 0.6Ω pod (recommended 18–22W) is the all-rounder for MTL to RDL and works with both 50/50 freebase and nicotine salt e-liquids. The classic MTL pods – 0.8Ω (recommended 12–16W) and 1.0Ω (recommended 10–13W) – are ideal for nicotine salts and high-nicotine e-liquids (10–20 mg/ml), as well as freebase at 3–6 mg/ml. The 1.2Ω version delivers the tightest, most cigarette-like draw. Important: All pods use Vaporesso's COREX heating technology with pulsed wicking, which significantly extends coil lifespan. As a general rule: the higher the resistance, the lower the wattage, and the better suited the pod is for nicotine salt e-liquids.

Daily Operation & Maintenance Tips

When filling for the first time, remove the pod from the device, open the silicone plug and slowly drip the e-liquid down the side wall – not directly into the centre hole. Then let it steep for at least 5–10 minutes so the cotton becomes fully saturated. This prevents dry hits and premature coil burnout. Use the airflow control on the side of the device to fine-tune your draw: air slot wide open for RDL, almost closed for a classic MTL draw. Clean the pod contacts every 1–2 weeks with a cotton swab to remove condensation and e-liquid residue. Charge the device with the included USB-C cable and a 3A-capable power adapter to enjoy the full fast-charging speed. If you won't be using the device for a while, keep the battery at around 50–70% charge.
